The place of birth usually has magnetic power. It does not let you forget about itself, it attracts you. Young Fryderyk often visited Żelazowa Wola. It was only 50 kilometers from the capital city of Warsaw. He returned with joy to the manor house on the Utrata river, to people close to him, to that landscape. He listened to the melodies of the Masovian neighborhood at court and peasant ceremonies, harvest festivals and parish fairs. The Polish tone, which so strongly came to the fore in his works, had its sources right here in Żelazowa Wola.
