An Introduction to 20th Century Music (with Exercises on Music Scores)

$7.50

This is the third of three books in the series of workbook guides. This third book deals with 20th century music and like the other two books, the questions sest are at a very elementary level as they are meant to introduce the world of music scores to the beginner. It must be pointed out, however, that 20th century music is comparatively more complex than 18th and 19th century music and is much more demanding both to the listener and the performer as mure unusual instruments (such as harps, saxophone, double bassoon, etc) and special effects (such as col legno, prés de la table, gestopft, etc) are used.

This book only covers conventional socres and does not include any graphic scores or unconventional scores found in Electronic Music and Aleatory Music.
